Now available: New Almanac of Medical Corps Worldwide 2012

The latest issue of our Almanac of Medical Corps Worldwide is now available. The extensive demand for the first issue of this publication meant that we ran out of copies within only a few months. The correspondence that we have received from around the world shows that there is considerable interest in mutual contact; the promotion of dialogue and cooperation are major objectives. We will be making our contribution towards this dialogue by continuously extending and updating our Almanac.

Your positive response has both encouraged and convinced us in our belief that we are taking the right course by bringing out this second compendium of information on the military medical services. You will find that the format of this issue has been somewhat modified; entries have been brought up to date and expanded and the Almanac has been supplemented with articles on many additional military medical services.

You will also find in this issue a profile of the International Committee of Military Medicine (ICMM). We plan to publish similar portraits of organisations that are of significance in the military medical sector at irregular intervals in future.

The Almanac is intended to accurately reflect the contemporary status of the military medical services, and as such it will be regularly updated and expanded.
